Its been good to be a Jazz fan lately. They have been doing excellent without AK and Memo out against Denver in Round 1. Tonight Utah took a commanding lead against them 3 games to 1. We are going back to Denver for game 5 and if we loose that one we will come back home for game 6. I would really like to see the Jazz beat Denver back in there own home but I believe the Jazz will fall to Denver in game 5 and Take it back it Utah during Game 6.
The thunder have had a big couple of games against the Lakers also. It would benefit us if the Thunder win and we VS them in the next round of the Playoffs. We will have home court advantage however we will need to play extremely hard if we are going to beat the Thunder. Durant has been explosive and we all remember the last game against them. It was a nail bitter and Durant should of gotten the foul called on him and he would of won the game at the free point line however the ref missed the call and the Jazz got a huge break. It will be very interesting to see what teams come out of the west this year. They are all playing good and some of the teams we thought would not do good are stepping up and making things happen.

GOOD NEWS
For the first in as long as I can remember there were actually two great stories in the news today. I read about the China miners that were trapped for a week and most of them survived and they were able to rescue them. Second the strange man who jumped into the Hudson River to help save a 2 year old girl who he didn't even know. God bless this man!
The reason I am so excited about this is because I have been sick of looking on the news and only seeing the bad stories of people being kidnapped, robbed, or killed. It seems like all there is in the world right now is bad however I disagree strongly. The news sells when they talk about the bad and for some reason they never report on the good stories or Miracles that happen everyday. Probably because it doesn't sell as good and the bad stories.
People are sitting there saying that the world is going crazy and there is so much bad in the world. That may be true however there is so much good in the world still today. Just open your eyes and look for it. God isn't going to abandoned all of the people on earth he still is performing miracle and he is still answering prayers. Just have hope and believe and you will see them happen right in front of you.

My thoughts on the Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz have 5 Games left in the season before the playoffs start. The west conference as usual is in a tight race for teams looking to seed in the 1-4 spots. The Utah Jazz are currently in the 4th spot however the race is tight looking forward and looking behind. Dallas, Denver, Utah, and Phoenix are all tied with 50 wins and 27 loses. The remaining schedule for the Utah Jazz is as follows.
VS. Oklahoma
@Houston
@New Orleans
@Golden State
VS Phoenix
We have 1 home game and a 3 game road trip before our last home game against Phoenix. Oklahoma and Phoenix is a MUST win for the Utah Jazz if their looking in staying or gaining in the seed race. With both of those games at home the Jazz should be able to pull it off. Keep a eye on Durant though because he has been explosive during the last half of the season. For the next 5 games I predict the Jazz going 4-1 falling to the Houston Rockets. The Jazz will have a tough fight at home against Durant and the Thunder and they will have to leave right after to go face Houston. The Jazz will be tired and unprepared to take them. After loosing to Houston the Jazz will finally release whats at stake and finish the seasons with WINS.
Now for the Playoffs I believe there will be one team that will be the biggest struggle for the Jazz and that of course is the Lakers. With Lakers having home court advantage it is almost a guarantee lost for the Jazz. The Jazz do not have Confidence when they step inside the Staples center against the Lakers. In order to get to the finals they are going to have to find a way to beat the Lakers in LA which has not been done for sometime.
If Phoenix and Oklahoma stay behind us in the seeding we will be OK with home court advantage. But if the season ends and either one of them are ahead it may be difficult to overcome the Phoenix Suns or Durant and the Thunder. So the Jazz need to know how important it is to keep winning and stay ahead and try to get to that 2nd or 3rd spot. I'm excited to see how the end of the season and playoffs will happen.

GOALS

I have been thinking a lot lately about what I want to do with my life and the goals I want to accomplish. So I decided to write them down so I can remember and try to keep at it.
# 1 GOAL: Get in shape!
I miss the days back in 7th -10th grade when I was actually in shape and I could run for miles without breaking a sweat. Now when I walk up the stairs I have to wipe my head of the sweat that has gathered there.
# 2 GOAL: Pay off all my bills and debt that I can pay off with ease.
Now I'm not talking about paying off my cars and everything but I would like to pay off my credit card bills, the money I owe my mother and stuff like that. If I did that I could breath a lot easier each month.
# 3 GOAL: Finish my gosh darn book
A lot of people don't know this but I am currently writing a book. I'm not going to tell anybody the exact story they will just have to wait until I publish it. I keep changing the beginning because I want it to be perfect and so far I keep putting it off then I start on it some more then put it off again. I would love to finish it within the next couple of years.
# 4 GOAL: Go to School
Now I'm not planning on my book getting me rich or anything so I want to go to school and get a great job that I love doing and can do for the rest of my life.
# 5 GOAL: Start a Non-Profit
I was thinking that anybody who has a Job, has a place to sleep, puts food on their table, and can go out for fun has the ability to help somebody in need or donate a lot more then they need. I don't have the exacts on what I would do but I would definitely like to start a Non-Profit when I can offered it and offer time into it.
# 6 GOAL: Start a Family
I don't want to be kid less forever!
# 7 GOAL: Start my own business
I would really like to own my own business one day. Who wouldn't? Whether its in the restaurant business or something else I really think it would be great.

GOOD TIMES
Today brought back some good memories. I was able to hang out with one of my best friends from High School today. Him and I had a lot of fun together and we did everything together through High School.
We went to Barnes and Noble and then we went to Ihop to have a little bite to eat. (Even though IHOPs pancakes taste like they were cooked on soggy diapers.) We just talked about old memories and laughed about them. Some of my favorite memories were how we would sluff school for a entire week and then get into trouble and have to go to court. Or when we were up in his attic and I fell through the ceiling. We went to Home Depot or Lowes 4 times trying to get supplies to fix it before his mother came home. We did a pretty good job with what we used to fix it. Such as Duck Tape, Gorilla Glue, Putty, and Spray paint. She found out but only because we didn't clean up the dust on the floor so that made her look up when she got home.
We also went to a construction site one night and got in those big black tubes that they put in the ground and we rolled down the hill in them. He was an awesome friend and it sucks that he lives so far away and that his wife hates me.... Don't ask me why she just hates me for some reason. Probably cause Josh and I talk about all the fun we had and she is jealous or something. Anyways i had a great time in High School because of him!

Viva Las Vegas
Jackie and I recently had the opportunity to take a little nice vacation and head out to Las Vegas. I had a blast and it was probably one of the best trips I had to Vegas. We left Wednesday night March 10th and returned today Sunday March 14th. I think that was the perfect time to spend in Vegas after that I get pretty Vegased out!
We stayed out the Hooters Casino. NO not because of the girls (although they were a plus) but because we got a excellent deal on the room and we wanted to stay very close to the strip. MGM was only across the street and they have a new monorail station there that goes up the trip. Have to tell you the first day we walked up the strip and back and our feet were killing! So the monorail is a great addition.
We did a lot there. We went to all the usual places and casinos and we were able to visit a couple attractions. We went into the wax museum and took a lot of pictures in there. I have to tell you they look very real! Honestly in some rooms you couldn't tell who was real and who wasn't. We also saw Nathan Burton a comedic magician. He was your average magician however he did pull off a couple astonishing tricks.
But my favorite show now that we saw for the first time was Cirque Du Soleil. It was amazing. I think there are people who want to see it but don't because it is a expensive show. That's how I was for 5 years however we decided to finally do it and it was worth it! Amazing performers doing amazing stunts and acrobats. They had a vertical stage were arrows were shot at them and they climb with the arrows. They also had a fight scene on a vertical stage that made it appear you were watching them from above. IT IS WORTH IT go see it if you have been trying to make up your mind.
Other than that just walking around the shops and having a good time. It was a fun trip and I cant wait to see Cirque Du Soleil again!

For my Wife!
When people ask me about my wife or they my ask, "Whats the greatest thing about your wife?" or "What is the one thing you love most about your wife?" Honestly I do have a hard time thinking of something. No, not because I'm heartless or there is honestly nothing I can think of. Have people ever thought there might just be to many great things to name one?
First off marriage.... A friend of mine and I have a saying that Marriage is a blessing and a curse in one. But before you start thinking that I have a sour look on marriage I don't. The blessings overwhelm the Curses! You will have your good times and of course the hard times. No one ever has the "perfect" marriage. Everyone will disagree in times and possibly even become angry at times. But I believe that is what makes a "perfect" marriage.
Jackie and I do fight sometimes and we do disagree on things. But no matter what we fight about or what we disagree on I still love her! I think that is one of the keys to a great marriage. You need to expect that everything is not going to be peachy all the time and you WILL have hard times. And it will take both of you to overcome those hard times and in the end it will make you stronger. You need to be willing to let by gones be by gones and to forgive and forget. If you can't do those things....well you better start!
Jackie and I met in Jr. High and when I first saw her I knew I was going to have a future with her. People say we married to young. Jackie needs to experience life first and single life. I need to party or whatever. To those people I feel sorry for them. They haven't experienced what we have obviously experienced. Why hold off on something or put something aside for chance when you KNOW you don't want anybody else. Yes I do agree people get married to young sometimes and it doesn't work out. But they married for the wrong reasons! They may think they married for Love, and Compassion but they didn't.
Jackie and I married for the right reasons. We truly loved each other and we truly wanted to be together. Not just for the romance, and the excitement but for life and after. I have no regrets for getting married at the age of 21 and I can speak for her as well. She is the perfect girl for me. She is beautiful, smart, loving, fun, sexy, and caring. I love her with all my heart and I always will. She is my best friend, my love, and sometimes my annoying other half.... But no matter what happens I will love her forever and Always!
